Mark Walin is the Vice President of Sales for PBM Products.
Mr. Walin is an accomplished sales executive with a proven track record of leadership and success in the pharmaceutical industry and extensive experience and connections with some of the nation’s leading retailers. He brings to PBM a wealth of experience in cross-functional customer management and nutritional category expertise in the infant formula, toddler nutrition, therapeutic, healthy living, and sports nutrition arenas. Additionally, Mr. Walin has extensive experience in the WIC, pharmaceutical, managed care, and Medicare/Medicaid markets.
Before joining PBM, Mr. Walin held a variety of leadership positions with Abbott Laboratories. Most recently, he was Abbott’s Director of Diabetic U.S. Field Sales, Abbott Diabetes Care, where he successfully developed and executed a retail sales strategy for a 23-person field sales team and third-party contract sales force that was responsible for driving more than $500 million in revenue. The position was the culmination of a more than 23-year Abbott career that saw him rise quickly through the sales department ranks, where he held numerous leadership positions in the diabetic, nutritional, and pediatric divisions. In those capacities, Mr. Walin was responsible for selling products to top national retailers including Wal-Mart, Target, Costco, Kmart and Sam’s Club, and through alternate sales channels.
At PBM, Mr. Walin will be leading the company’s customer-focused sales team, applying industry best practices to product launches, shopper insights, category management, customer marketing, and driving shared supply chain efficiencies. He will use his unique ability to connect with customers and business partners in an effort to grow the company’s sales exponentially through a combination of managing current customer accounts and identifying and converting new customers to existing product lines. In addition he will play a key role in assisting in the development of new product lines to expand PBM’s portfolio.
Mr. Walin holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa, from the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Joined by his wife Michelle and two children, he resides in Keswick, Virginia.
